The Importance of Maintenance Care
I am a thirty year-old male who exercises on a regular basis, has no medical issues, eats healthy meals (most days!) and rarely experiences any muscle or joint pain. Does this make me a suitable candidate for Chiropractic care?
ABSOLUTELY!
Maintenance care addresses one of the most overlooked aspects of your health, functionality. In general people tend to wait until they are in pain before they acknowledge that something is wrong with their bodies. In truth, the body can be operating at a reduced rate of functionality for months or even years before any pain manifests. The amount of damage sustained after long periods of time can be difficult to reverse, and lead to longer and more frustrating recovery times.
Why not address this deficiency in functionality? Visiting a Chiropractor on a regular basis for maintenance care is an excellent form of preventative therapy. Trigger points, muscular imbalances and joint restrictions may be present, but not registering as pain, in your body which can have long-term health implications. Restoring range of motion and functionality to the joint and muscle complexes of your body can prevent such damage and allow you to experience a fuller and more active lifestyle.
On a personal note, I love all manner of exercise and athletics. However, maintaining an active lifestyle often leads to aches and pains along the way. Instead of “toughing it out” or “pushing through the pain”, I make sure to receive regular treatments so that I can enjoy my active lifestyle and continue doing all the things I love to do.
Chiropractic care is quick, affordable and can be fit into even the most hectic schedule. So take the time and start experiencing a more functional life!
